I found this one through Twitter and noticed he was pushing the track harder than Blue Magic. BlaccOut Garrison, a Minnesota native who’s got his hands in a few project, released his first mixtape, ”Dreams & Thoughts, ” on Hotnewhiphop & DatPiff a few months back. It’s a compilation from a young artist who’s trying something different. The track in question, “Ventilation,” takes listeners on a ride in which Garrison lays out some of his frustrations, thoughts, and opinions on the world. Featuring a simple, yet poignant flip of an Erykah Badu song, “Ventilation” shows a plethora of emotion without having to shout it to the world. It reminds me a lot of KRIT’s “The Vent,” which was is one of my favorite KRIT songs. Check it out and be sure to be on the lookout for more from Blaccout Garrison at the following links.
