So, in a “white girl rapper”* double play of kind of unexpected rappers, Ridiculousness co-host Chanel West Coast drops her debut mixtape Now You Know. It reminds me of what would happen if Gwen Stefani would’ve come out on Mike Will Made It-like beats on her solo album–with a bit of Drake for good measure (it probably helps that she’s signed to YMCMB and has some YMCMB-type of features, too). For what it is, it’s pretty awesome. It’s not “Illmatic” or anything, but fuck it. It’d make me wanna take some shots in the club/college bar or something and she puts her life on wax. Kudos.
