Mad that I missed this one, especially since I’ve followed Gee Watts for a minute since he came onto the scene. My bad for all that, but regardless, this album goes in. The intro comes with bars such as “talkin’ ’bout revolution like this ain’t hell,” and the rest of the album delivers that truthfulness and storytelling Gee’s come known for, over some pretty laid-back but still hyped as hell instrumentation (kind of like a Kansas City-based K.R.I.T. mixed with some Scarface). The album itself, you’ll just have to listen to, since just talking about it can’t do it as much justice as actually listening to it.
