San Antonio-based music collective, FRITOGANG, hit me up with this one. One of the group’s members, levicantsing dropped a loosie over in-house producer dubbisdope’s (@dubbdagreat) beat. They mentioned that “with a cuffing season amongst this melodic soulful bop is bound to have you thinking about an old flame.” I like the “‘Oakland’ by Lloyd”-type introduction and levicantsing, well, can sing his ass off. It’s one of those tracks you’ll hear and be like “well, damn. Lemme go holla at my old joint real quick” or “damn, I gotta find the one who got away.” It’ll also have you thinking about new beginnings with someone new with some parts of it. Overall, it’s a nice, smooth song and I’m looking forward to anything levicantsing–and, by extension, FRITOGANG–drops.
