As mentioned in my piece on “Sunset Park,” I got introduced to WOLFE’s work via Big K.R.I.T.’s “In The Darkness.” His latest work, Naked, is smooth and layered. It feels slightly Anderson .Paak-influenced in some parts, but different in enough way to become its own thing entirely. It’s like sex music for those who are stuck in some paradox between The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and Soldier of Love-era Sade, if that makes sense. It’s warbly and syrupy, but you still get more than just the sex, drugs, and alt-R&B energy. Check it out below, if only off the strength that he collaborated with K.R.I.T. on some heat.
