Stealf Soulja came to me with his story and how he came in contact with the site. Something about it clicked, mainly because there have been times, over the years, that I contemplated saying “fuck it” and doing some dirt. I don’t, of course, because I’ve got kids and I’m too washed these days to hustle and all that. But, the idea still ran through my head every once and again. “Robbin’ Hood,” Stealf’s newest track, is along those lines. Yes, it’s a track about getting money, but when you add in his personal story, it’s more about survival than just jacking fools to get some new kicks.
