New (To Me) SOTBMusic: @stephons_son – "Let Me Pray"

I recently came into contact with some of Kim’s music. He’s got this sort of Drake-meets-Ryan Leslie vibe about him. He’s got some bars on this, but he’s no slouch with the singing, either. It’s a dream to listen to, opting to sample The Isley Brothers’ “Footsteps in the Dark” (a solid choice for a reflective track; see “Today Was a Good Day). On “Let Me Pray,” Kim speaks on some real stuff, ranging from broken relationships to his aunt’s suicide attempt and his attempts to find the right things/visual facade to present to her in the hospital. Overall, it’s a really great song and has made me into a fan of this guy’s music. Check it out below and be on the lookout for his star; it’s going places, trust me.
