You can always count on John Legend to give his all on any given track. This one, created for Underground, the chain-breaking series he executive produces, is amazing. The track is a soulful rebuttal to the hatred spewed and the ignorance unfurled by some in America, referencing Eric Garner and other situations where hate and anger won out over understanding.

On top of that, it’s just a beautiful track that showcases what makes John Legend a legend (had to) in the making. When I first heard the song on Underground, I practically begged for a whole version, mainly because it’s this type of protest music we need just as much now as we did back in Marvin’s day.
