JeRonelle reflects on his journey of relocating to Los Angeles with this heartfelt ballad, full of stirring Gospel-tinged vocals and emotional storytelling. This track brings to mind, for me, moving from Baltimore to PG County to attend UMD. While my move wasn’t as long as JeRonelle’s, the sentiment still is there. Because of that, I rock with this one, as it hit me on a personal level. Plus, brother’s singing is dope. He asks us to “imagine moving to a new city where almost no one knows who you are and you are forced to begin again, all for the sake of pursuing your dreams.” And he delivers that feeling along with a sense of hope in this new track.
