A few months back, I featured Eso.Xo.Supreme’s “Do It,” a somewhat playful cuffing anthem. Today, we’re given the exact opposite of that. In “Cut You Off,” Eso.Xo lays his heart on the line and decides that he needs to cut off his lover in order for both of them to flourish. It’s a moody track, full of muted instrumentation and Eso.Xo harmonizing while asking “why can’t you ride for me?”
