I’m a bit late on this one (by a few days). But, better late than never, especially for some boombap-tinged hip-hop from Maryland’s Big Lenbo. There’s not really much I can say about this project, except that if you’re not willing to stay around for something other than a turn-up beat, you’ll probably be lost on this one.

That’s sad, because the tracks presented are–while boombap-heavy–are lyrically impressive (and, oh look, there’s a Logic feature as well) and feels a bit like Slaughterhouse circa their inception with a bit of Ghost and Pun in there as well. There’s a mix between horrorcore and hardcore rap at points and straight spitting at others. The mix serves the project well and kept my head nodding throughout.
