Ontario artist Frizzy contacted me to give him some feedback on his latest track “Twinkle In Your Eye.” With that said, here goes. I…like it, but I don’t flat-out love it. The HM03-produced lo-fi rap track is spacey and blues-rappy enough, featuring a simple drum pattern layered over reflective guitars. The lyrics are on-point, speaking on a relationship that’s been on some other stuff.

However, and I may be nitpicking here, the effortless flow doesn’t exactly work here.

I think I get what he’s going for; love sucks so here I am venting about it in a way that shows that I’m more tired than fed up. That’s great and it adds a layer to the track. It just doesn’t grab me like it should, though. I still do want to hear more of this artist and see where he goes.
