New SOTBMusic: Big K.R.I.T. Returns with THRICE X

I don’t know about you, but I just love when my favorites come through with beautiful soul food a week out from Thanksgiving.

Big K.R.I.T. returns to his solo tip after taking some time to drop a few guest verses and push 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time with the three-song-deep EP THRICE X, which feels as if it picks up where 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time left off. We’re given more introspective Krizzle, but it’s still booming and seers through the speakers. It also feels a bit KOD-esque in that K.R.I.T. delves a bit into newer flows, sounds and song lengths, but he never loses what makes him unique in a world full of copycats. The project is spiritual as can be, but still bass-heavy enough to thump you in the chest with catchy hooks and excellent wordplay. I’ll be honest, though. I was hoping for a whole project, or at least a few more songs. However, any K.R.I.T. is great K.R.I.T., so I’ll take it and wait for the next full-length project.
