M’Lynn Got Low on Latest Song

M’Lynn’s latest “I Got Low” gives me major Alessia Cara and Amy Winehouse vibes. The song is a jazzy neo-soul-esque song about taking time to revitalize oneself and grow even in the midst of the darkness. Her vocals are strong, aided by the instrumentation which serves to highlight her ability to more than carry a note. The harmonies towards the end of the song are, for me, the strongest part of the track because they bring everything to an emotional climax.

M’Lynn is currently prepping for her accompanying video to release this coming Friday. She’s got a preview of it over on her Facebook page and I think it’ll be the moody cherry on top to this song’s sundae of emotion. Check out “I Got Low” below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
