Lex Rush has been a busy woman over the last few years. From solo work to her Queens Affair with Jam Young, she’s put in that work for sure. Today, I’m honored to debut her newest group effort with Dale Novella and 28Breax. LxDC’s “This Love” plays a teeny bit like a love letter to rap. That said, it definitely also plays more like a love letter to someone they need to have in their lives. Dale Novella’s vocals on the hook are powerful and add a depth to the track that couldn’t have been achieved without her vocals, in my opinion. On that same tip, Lex does what she does best: rap her ass off lyrically and flow effortlessly on the beat. The production is driving and powerful, giving this one a bit of a rap power ballad sort of energy.
