D’Vo Discusses the “Evolution of Hip Hop” on New Track

Utilizing clips from all throughout the history of rap music, D’Vo’s “Evolution of Hip Hop” is a poignant song. It’s one that addresses this genre of music we all love, both from the positive and negative standpoints. D’Vo does so in a clean way and takes elements from old-school and new-school hip-hop, from Sugar Hill Gang to NWA to more-modern takes on the genre.

Reminding us that hip-hop started out in the park, he also lets us know that hip-hop doesn’t have to be just people insulting women and their enemies. Even if some of it has those elements, the entirety doesn’t have to/shouldn’t be that. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms
