Pip Millet reminds me a bit of if Sade was an upcoming artist in the 2020s instead of the legend she’s become in her extensive career. Her acoustic rendition of her song “Running” finds the British singer/songwriter sveltely singing her story. I’m a huge fan of her voice, because it’s strong and full of vibrancy but also manages to do a bit of the whisper-singing thing that’s popular. This version of the song was a part of VEVO’s DSCVR Artists to Watch 2022 campaign, which has, in the past, seen folks such as Billie Eilish and Pop Smoke been awarded with this chance.
