Happy Thanksgiving, SOTB Faithful. I hope you’re enjoying the day with your family. If you’re here reading this, know that I love you and I hope you find some dope music to share on this beautiful day. Family plays a big part in MC Tres’ “Mr. Nice Guy,” as the St. Louis MC raps that you’re either with him or not, friendly or opp. I feel that, though I’m pretty sure I don’t have (m)any opps trying to bring me down. That said, the song is fire because of its production and Tres’ quickfire approach to rap. No, he’s not Tech N9ne-ing it or anything, but he’s got punchlines and bars for days on this one. The one is featured on the recently-released deluxe version of his Late Night Flights album. That twelve-track album is the sequel of sorts to its base edition, which was released last year.
Check out the track above, save me a plate (with extra Mac and Cheese if your fam’s is on point) and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
