STEP1 Present a Special Song with “Slow Me Down”

DMV-based group STEP1’s “Slow Me Down” is one of those songs about how we move apart from some people along the way, even if they’re not the best connections. I like this one because, over the last year or so, I’ve been dealing with moving on and moving up from some people in my life. Some, they’ve elevated and we’re still cool. Others, we’ve distanced ourselves from each other and you want to reach out. However, you’re not sure if you can/should. Because of that, it hurts to lose a connection that you had for a while. I love the production on this one because it’s like a mix between Nappy Roots and BROCKHAMPTON. This one’s slated to be on the upcoming Right Back album, which is due out spring 2022. Check this one out for sure and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
