There’s not much I can say about this one besides “this is for the folks who love their bars with a side of wit and extra grit.” The trio of artists here hop on this laidback-but-cutthroat boombap beat supplied by Parallel Thought and rip off rhymes like they’re pulling off bandages from an enemy or two. I also love the visuals, as it does well to showcase that “war is an artform” regardless of if it’s war between rappers on a beat or something more visceral. Paying homage in some ways to Sun Tzu, this song is featured on AB’s Devils and Drugs album, due out next Friday. I’m here for this sort of rap because it’s lyrical and gritty without being a pompous ass about the whole thing. Check out the visuals below and support dope music in all its forms.
