Multihyphenate SHEZ’s latest has a Slum Village-meets-Anderson.Paak sort of vibe to it. “I Deserve Better” is one of those tracks to an ex that states that, well, he deserved better throughout the relationship–even though he still somewhat misses the ex. I love the instrumentation here, because it’s smooth and bouncy at the same time. I also love the vocals, as they have just the right amount of funk to them.
