The California Honeydrops Reflect on “Nothing at All”

I get Smokey Robinson vibes from this one, the latest track from The California Honeydrops. The song itself is about what happens when we still want something we can hold onto. Instead of things working out naturally, we may add accelerant to the fire trying to, as they said in their release, “get a little certainty and safety.” I get that, because I’ve been in that situation a few times. Plus, the vocals! They’re so beautiful, so lush. Check out the track below (and its B-Side, “Good Times”) and support dope music in all its forms.
