Hailes Presents “Can’t Help Myself”

Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Hailes is another SOTBMusic newbie. However, if her discography turns out to be like this cut, she won’t be one for long. This is a soulful ride through love, lust and a dash of regret. While Hailes knows that this person isn’t exactly ideal, she keeps finding herself around them. It’s a classic story, but one that’s told in a sensual and warm way. Plus, the instrumentation on the track is top-notch and brings to mind artists like Lianne la Havas and Lalah Hathaway. It’s a beautiful cut, one that serves to introduce the world to the twenty-something songstress who has subject matter and a voice that can appeal to any age.
