Matt Nye’s “Boo Box” is a Conscious Journey

Matt Nye grabbed my attention over the last year-plus. When the brother drops music, I legit stop what I’m doing and peep it. It helps that he’s lyrical but also very vulnerable. That’s all while still creating dope music that sometimes bounces between conscious and “I’m the shit.”

“Boo Box” continues that vulnerability with shit-talking elements, mixed with a few horrorcore elements as well. Speaking about his growth, his upbringing and wins and losses–plus putting “that sinking feeling when…” into words–Nye does this one the only way he knows how. And it’s great!

So I’ll hush so you can absorb this one and support dope music in all its forms.
