Sareem Poems and Madi Present “Hopefully”

The title track of their latest project, “Hopefully” features Sareem giving us more grown man bars over Madi’s alt-rap-meets-jazz-rap production. This time, we’re given bars about “social despondency” and the fact we’ve got to remain hopeful–even when things look dire. It’s also a track that touches on a lot of things Black people have to deal with, between code switching, trauma and everything in between. However, the track is more about seeing the positives even in crappy situations and making the best of what life gives you. Check out the track–and its parent album–and support dope music in all its forms.
