J.Vaelei Wants to “Ascend”

Per the artist, the song “Ascend” is “about the difficulties around romantic relationships and discovery of oneself.” This is shown through the lenses of overpridefulness (I know it’s not a real word), mental health struggles and seeing growth in spite of that. I love that. I also love that Vaelei says “forget you” to toxic relationships. And, if you’ve followed me the last couple years, I’m a sucker for a good song about ridding oneself from toxicity. It’s really so damned freeing. Check out “Ascend” and support dope music in all its forms.
