Collective TheOdicy strives to make music that is “outlandish [but] utterly human.” I think that’s exactly what they do with the song “Honest Conversations.” The track is a bit more instrumental-centric than what I typically post about. However, the lyrics are pretty strong as well, choosing to focus on those moments where love can become obsession–and how that’s never good for anyone. Blending neo-soul, alt-rock and hip-hop elements, “Honest Conversations” also has some elements of modern lo-fi–specifically the production.
