JuseMC “Remembers” Where He Came From on New Song

While this one is a bit shorter than songs I typically post on the SOTB site, “I Remember” is a track that deserves your attention. An autobiographical song, “I Remember” blends Kendrick storytelling with Earl Sweatshirt lo-fi rap beats. The end result is, well, beautiful. From outlining his upbringing to speaking on those outlined in chalk, we get to see the neighborhood of Watts through the eyes of someone who grew up there. If you like your shorter tracks with heavy lyricism, I recommend checking this one out and doing the thing. Support dope music in all its forms (even the short songs). While I don’t always post about the shorter tracks, I do still appreciate the artistry that went into making them.
