Dylan Guy and Edaja Present the Empowering “Garden”

I love this song, mainly because it’s pro-women while still being fun and light. It doesn’t pander to its audience, instead opting to make it be known that Edaja and women worldwide are worth more than a wine-and-dine to get to know them. They’re worth more than a bit verbal foreplay just to get the…well, you know. There is power, wonder and amazement in a woman’s garden. Respect it and water it with love, consent and concern and it will reward you. Take that how you want to/need to. But I appreciate that message.

Plus, sonically, the song is a bop. Edaja’s vocals float over the sensual-without-being-sexual production from Dylan Guy. All in all, SOTB faithful? This is conscious R&B you can play at any time and I’m here for it. It’s like a sonic mix between KAYTRANADA and H.E.R. (that also sounds a smidge like the song KAYTRANADA and H.E.R. did together).
