MRK SX Presents “Snflwr”

A song which samples Jon B’s “They Don’t Know,” “Snflwr” is a song that speaks to young people (specifically women but also men). It’s one of those songs that’s kind of like “I Can” but mixed with Kendrick’s “HUMBLE.” It blends conscious raps about positivity towards women while also calling out our society on some of the issues they put women through and some of the messages we send to them.

It’s a combination of social commentary and an “I’ve got love for you” vibe. The bars are refreshing to hear, the concept is one I can get behind and the vocalist on the hook adds a Slum Village sort of feel to it. If that sounds like something up your alley, check this one out. Even if you’re not really a boombap or conscious rap fan, you can still appreciate its message. Listen below, support dope music in all its forms and don’t look down on women or say they deserve any foulness that comes their way. No one deserves to be treated less than–unless you’re a child molester or something along those lines.
