Proper Einstein “Rises” to the Occasion

A song which speaks on religion, specifically why those who believe should continue to do so (and a somber acknowledgement that not everyone will find God, but you should pray for them regardless), “Rise” is a song that’s minimalist but extravagant at the same time. I say that because of the instrumental. It’s a few bars mostly looped, but it feels like each section is different. That’s because of the minor changes in the drums or another element throughout “Rise.” The song’s lyrics also shine, though I feel a bit more emotion could’ve been put into the bars here, but overall? It’s a great song to listen to, one that manages to squeeze out every ounce of emotion through a somewhat sobering flow. The flow meshes well with the melancholic sample playing in the background.

I really love the religious overtones here. Yes, I said that SOTB won’t go “you’re forever damned if you don’t believe in God” on you. I can’t do that. At all. It’d go against everything I stand for–and it’d make me a hypocrite. However, I do still believe that with God, anything is possible. God saved me quite a few times over the years and put this one in front of me to embrace and hold onto. If you need some soulful inspirational vitamins to take while you’re out there facing the world, I recommend checking this one out. Most importantly, if you want solid rap that you can rock in any occasion, you’ll love this one as it’s a completely clean record. Continue to support dope music in all its forms, SOTB Faithful.
