Cam Edmonds Talks About Love on “One Touch”

A mix between a splash of dancehall, a bit mid-2000s R&B and a touch of a modern love song, “One Touch” is one of those tracks with an infectious hook that you’ll find yourself humming. It’s deffinitely a tasty, and catchy, jam for sure. Even in its catchiness, the song also is tender while providing listeners something that they can dance to. I really liked how this song’s message of finding love at first sight (touch) is talked about and how those initial moments can send relationships through the roof or crashing straight through the ground. Either way, you usually know if you rock with somebody by your first couple of interactions, be they physical, verbal or any other form of communication. And yes, I count chats and texts in there.

Anyway, before I start tangent-hunting, the song is kind of broken up into two parts. The first part is smooth and sensual, like a slow grind. That’s the best I could come up with. I don’t know any fancypants way to say “it makes you wanna freak on someone like a 18-year-old in heat and try your luck to, respectfully, try and get inside the jeans.” The second half of the song is actually just as sensual, but broken up by more of a dancehall vibe than R&B. It keeps things interesting and moving along nicely.

If you need an R&B jam that’s got a little bit of everything, this one’s for you. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
