Iman Europe and Thurz Present “MWWM”

“MWWM” (short for “My Wants Want Me”) is a mantra song with a lot of flexxy moments. The thing about it is that those moments are less about “I’m the best and you all suck” and more about “I’m going to grab the greatness that I know I deserve.” I’m here for that sort of energy because it’s motivational without putting someone else down in the dirt. I’m also here for this song because lyrically, it’s pretty damned dope. The way everyone floats over the beat is also a thing of beauty, as it feels radio-ready but sounds a bit more underground in its approach.

Conceived with Iman “[beginning to understand the power of attraction versus eager pursuit,” “MWWM” is one of those songs that also has some conscious elements. That’s mainly because of the idea presented: we may need a want too much and that can screw up the system. For example, sex. I love sex and want it on a fairly regular basis. However, if I begin to “need” it, I’ll probably push people away because I look like a man who just thinks with his schlong and nothing else. Sometimes, you’ve got to surrender a bit and, well, trust the process. I know, it’s a cliche at this point–but that doesn’t make it any less true.

If you want something that’ll show you a way to get what you really want and need, I recommend checking this one out below. After you do, remember to do the SOTB thing and support dope music in all its forms.
