Carmy Love Presents the Vibe-Heavy “I Just Came to Dance”

While the weekend is over, for now, you’ve got to love the freedom it can provide for some of us. “I Just Came to Dance” is a song that lives by this freedom, giving it to its listeners many times over. I really enjoyed the overall sound of “Dance,” as it’s a combination of vintage Motown-era soul and a bit of “let’s go out and have a little fun, even if marriage isn’t in the cards right now.” That’s to say this: Carmy isn’t looking for a whole lotta love or lust, just some awesome times in the here and now. The song is more about just enjoying and celebrating the moment(s) that make life what it really is.

The UK singer (Love was born and raised in North West London) showcases beautiful, powerful vocals and balances them with a bit of a playful energy. The on-paper contrasting nature of those two things is what makes this song interesting and makes it, in so many words, a bop. From the instrumentation to the vocals, everything just hits and hits frequently. If you’re intrigued and want some good retro soul, check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
