Dreams can help shape what we do and who we are in life. They are elements of our lives that give details about our aspirations, concerns and the things we care about. Some use dreams to tell fortunes, others use them in more scientific terms. The point is that they are powerful things that are also quite intimate in nature, oftentimes unique to the person having them.
Lithuanian artist Gabijaze hones in on the intimate nature of dreams in “Unconscious.” Built on a very dream-like backbone of multi-layered vocals and relaxing but somehow still on edge production, this one talks mainly about “dreams that are completely unexplainable and life-changing.”
Sonically, the song takes on the shape of something a bit outside of normal confines. That’s mainly because everything sounds a bit out-of-tune, mimicking the oddities within our existence. I’m intrigued as to what Gabijaze will do next with her music. If you’re interested in one’s interpretation of the concept of dreams, I recommend checking this one out and support dope music in all its forms.
