Ochikes and Spikes Present “Ride or Die”

“Ride or Die” is the first track ever released by Nigerian-born rapper Ochikes. Over two-and-a-half minutes, we get a blend of conscious hip-hop, mainstream concepts and a bit of alt-rap. In doing so, we get a look into Ochikes’ life and his surroundings. The situations he’s found himself in over the years makes it hard for him to trust individuals. He does, however, make the point known that his circle is small–but does exist. If you get into his circle, you’re in there until the freakin’ wheels fall off, be you man or woman. I think that this one works because of its mainstream-esque leaning. It makes the story easy to follow and its impact even stronger. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
