Arlo Maverick, KazMega and Just Moe Discuss the Dangers of the “Night Shift”

While many of us sleep between 10 PM and 6 PM (or just leaving the house at 8 AM), there are those in the world who work the night shift. In the trades, warehouses and in factories, men and women craft and create. Because of the abnormal hours, these workers are often unable to experience many things with their families and suffer from health ailments office workers typically don’t.

“Night Shift” takes a look at these conditions and shines several lights on them. It’s for everyone, but especially for those who may not know the struggle. The saddening chorus, where the phrase “I just wanna go home” is echoed over and over, makes you say “damn, these conditions are terrible for anyone.” Hopefully, it will make you want to stand up protest against these situations. Plus, from a lyrical standpoint, it’s a great song, especially with its storytelling.
