As I’ve said, we’ve got a few days left during Summer. I plan on using them to the last drop. With that said, Makeda’s “Come Over” is a song that talks about love, like and a bit of lust. It’s a beautifully done track, reminiscent of a blend between Kali Uchis and Sade. It’s got a jazzy sort of feel to it, but also features some lovely vocals. The hook makes it seem so simple and, honestly, love is. If you don’t try to fall in love, you usually fall in love that much deeper. What I mean is that love’s more fun when you don’t force it. If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. If it’s meant to just be a kindred spirit connection with a bit of fun? That’s cool, too. Either way, you have love on your side. If you’re in the mood for one last love before Pumpkin Spice SZN truly gets underway (I refuse to let it start at the end of August, nope), I recommend this one. I also recommend it as the other party Makeda talks about could also be looked at as a personification of Summer itself and how it can (tastefully) lower inhibitions and make you go for that love. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
