Swiss funk trio The Next Movement wants to talk about the reality in the music world. They want to ask whether or not said reality is, well, real. I get that, as we do live in a world full of falsehoods and people lying on themselves for fame. Perhaps more importantly, we live in a world where someone’s voice/style/entire MO can be mimicked by a few programs. That sort of reality is not the one many of us envisioned. Additionally, “Is It Real?” is a song that features live instrumentation as well as a conscious vibe to its lyrics. If you want your modern funk with experience, I would give this one a peek and support dope music in all its forms.
