Cam Be, Add-2, Elisa Latric and Neak Give Listeners a “King’s Speech”

A song that’s equally about the Black experience and about growing up/older in the 2020s, “King’s Speech” is a bop. It’s also thought-provoking, which makes it my favorite type of song. The third release from the collaborative efforts of Cam Be and Neak, “King’s Speech” appears on their a film called black project. I believe that the overall project will be quite a listen, one that’ll revel in its pro-positive energies while also creating something that is unabashedly Black. Featuring the vocals of Elisa Latrice and the additional bars of Chicago legend Add-2, “King’s Speech” is pro-Blackness at its finest; it doesn’t need to beat listeners over the head with trite ideas. If this is something you’d like to give a listen to, check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
