“Way Back” is the first time I’ve heard from Nelson BC, Canada quartet Penny Shades. Let me tell you this: if they keep putting together harmonious and relatable songs like this, it won’t be the last time you nor I hear from them. It’s a good trip sort of trippy when it comes to the way things sound on this one. Because of how everything blends together, you get a smorgasbord of sounds and beautiful love-influenced lyrics. Don’t take my word for it, though.
