Life be lifing.

It’s a phrase that, for me, is a combination of “oh well, shit happens” and “fuck my life.” When I use it, I mean that things are going cuckoo bananas but this is part of life like everything else. In that sense, you can get motivated by the phrase to keep on keeping on. On “EVERYTHING SUX,” LaRue gives us “life be lifing” in audio form. Yes, things aren’t going well, but that’s just how it is at times. The thing that got my attention on this one was LaRue’s flow. It’s got a very matter-of-fact way about it, which leans heavily into the introspection and thought processes that come through on the song. Plus, the beat knocks in a boombap sort of way.
