Below, we’ve got a song that speaks on video games, adolescence and skating. 6ixth Element and Joey Euros, on “Lil Bastards,” paint a picture of two youths at their local skatepark. If the storytelling is any indication here, 6ixth and Joey were getting into anything and everything and growing because of their similar paths.
I consider it “Kick Push”-like because of the storytelling provided here and how it provides a look at Denver skate culture. People just want to skate, maybe smoke and enjoy themselves–sometimes through disturbing the status quo. I love folks like that, because the status quo is something that should always be challenged. I also love the production here, as it’s very boombap-friendly down to its scratched chorus. If you want a look at how some of those “Lil Bastards” grew up and how they’re still making their mark, check this one out and support dope music in all its forms.
