The latest track from NC-born & raised Lex Lakaiser, “Outcheer Hustlin’,” speaks for those legitimate hustlers while celebrating them for not giving into more-sinister ways to make money. I love the production on this one, because it adds a certain weight to Lex’s lyrics. Equally important are the lyrics themselves, that have more of a clean rap feel to them in their praise of the everyman. I appreciate that because, while I haven’t really done (m)any radio clean songs, I love artists who want to get their word and thoughts out to people ages 1-100.
