Right off the bat with “AMT,” we get a nice surprise. We get neo-soul and hip-hop sounds usually seen from artists like Noname, Jill Scott and others. That’s great company to be in, if you ask me. Noraa and dbp, they both embrace Berlin, all its calmness and all its coolness. I’ve never been, but want to go. That said, what I’ve heard is that the city reminds you of a mix between urban and suburban.
Sonically, I absolute the vocals here. They’re incredibly honed in on pushing listeners to think about several things. “Ask” has lyrics and vocals designed for listeners to think about their happy place. The track also shows why it’s important to look around for new experiences. Finally, the chilled-out sound makes you want to relax and think about the world’s foolishness tomorrow. It doesn’t promote avoidance, but it does make you want to walk away from negativity. I also love how the song plays equally like a love letter to Berlin and to a special someone.
Musically-speaking, I love this song because of its lyrics and overall vibe. Everyone here has a bright future ahead of them because of their sonic diversity. Check out “Ask Me Tomorrow” and be sure to support dope music in all its forms. Personally, I think you should give this one several listens and all the praise it warrants.
