I’ll keep this brief.

Over the last year, I’ve done some soul-searching regarding my very existence. I won’t go into too many details here. I mean, that’s what Immortal Connection: The Death of John’s Bastard is for.

Shameless plugs aside, I’ve come to terms with my past and am creating a better future. However, no rebirth or return to form is complete without a return to the SOTB site. As much as I try to deny it, I’m a creative and I feel better when I’ve got some songs to write about and some beats to lay tracks on. It’s just who I am. Aside from a repost of my interview with the late Reyna Dunlap, close to 8 months have passed since my last post. So, to make a long story short, I’m back. But this isn’t a comeback to the old days of SOTB.com. Sorry to disappoint, but I don’t have it in me to drop 15 articles a day anymore or anything like that. I’m closer to 50 than I am to 20, and as such, life be lifing. But, as always, I’m still here supporting dope music in all its forms.

It feels good to (sorta) be back.
