C.Shreve the Professor, Tab-One and Scottie Royal Provide a Vibe on “Where’d I Go”

C.Shreve is back, which is an indication that SOTB is (as much as I can make it) also back. I know, we laugh about saying things are “a vibe.” As much as I questioned whether to include that word in this article’s title, this one is indeed a vibe. It’s a collection of adult raps from Shreve and his cohort of Tab-One and Scottie Royal. The track was described to me as “something that sounds like the 2012 SoundCloud era [that Shreve] became known for.” I think that fits, considering this one’s a boombap-heavy track that features the North Carolinian delivering lyrics galore ranging from being a “grown-up” in rap to just having fun spitting your game and talking your ish.

Shreve’s flow and punchlines are on point here, which is obvious considering who we’re talking about here. Now, if you’re like me and need some relatable hip-hop in your late 30s or early 40s, this jam should be your jam. If you’re a fan of Shreve, he delivers what you’d expect and then some. And the beat? Whoo, that beat is a headnodder. So check out the song above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
