730RS Channels Spawn on “The Sad Man”

This is a good song. That’s it, that’s the post. The song is flames, go listen. Support dope music and such.

For those who are still here (and I hope you’re numerous), let’s talk a bit more about 730RS’s “The Sad Man.” A drill-adjacent collection of thoughts detailing a “fallen assassin fighting for a second chance,” this one captures the life of a man who was once involved in illicit stuff and is now trying to put his life back together. We get the whole range of emotions and thoughts on this song, from backstabbing to questioning morality. After all, what’s “moral” is almost never black and white, but a shade of gray. That is, except with folks like Nazis and sexual predators. They’re wrong all the time, every time. Don’t give a damn, don’t give a f***. But everything that you’d expect from a shorter song dealing with gray areas and zones, it gets covered here–even down to the regret one faces if they leave behind a whole life to continue being a “villain” of some sort to someone.

The track’s wrapped around an audio clip from the 1990s Spawn animated series and a slight approximation of the franchise’s original story. In doing so, 730RS incorporates its visuals to further craft a story of a man who wonders “was it all worth it?” If you want complex characters but don’t have an entire album’s worth of time to listen for them, this one’s definitely for you as it clocks in at just over two minutes. Check it out above and support dope music in all its forms.
