Frankie October and Alaish Present the Sensual “Make Me Feel”

“Make Me Feel,” the latest from artists Frankie October and Alaish, has vocal phrasing reminiscent of Pharrell at points on the Girl album. It’s got this sort of playful sexiness to it all, in that it’s not raunchy in its desire. I mean, there’s a time and place for “I wanna F you” lyrics. The smoothness in play here isn’t one of them, thankfully.

But it’s that playfulness that helps make the song ascend to a cut that you can play in and out of the bedroom. Additionally, the production has the richness of an early 2000s neo-soul album deep cut. Think one of Raheem DeVaughn’s first projects with a smidge of Justin before he went full pop (either Bieber or Timberlake applies here). Frankie October and Alaish sing the praises of a special someone and the way things take on different meaning when they’re around. It makes me want to call up my own special someone and remind them that I love them and I can’t wait to see them. After all, when you’re with that person, they’ll make you feel simply resplendent.
