Cuezy and J. Henry Present the Smooth “As Good As It Gets”

Paying homage to many an 80s and 90s romcom, “As Good As It Gets” is the newest from Cuezy and J. Henry. “Gets” features beautifully-crafted jazz rap instrumental vibes courtesy of Cuezy and nostalgic bars from J. Henry. This loverman rap doesn’t play as a letter to rap, but instead as just an honest confession to someone. Think of the anxiousness often associated with the “Main Character/Love Interest confesses their feelings” trope in anime, energy-wise, and Common on “Come Close” lyrically and flow-wise. I enjoyed that, because I relate to it more than the superduper suave love talk. That’s cool too, and it has its place. However, being truthful and real about it always wins out in the end. It’s a very intimate sound–and song. That allows for it to, emotionally, hit that much harder. If you’re in need of something you can turn on with that someone and take a chance, I think you should consider this song. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms
